How to adopt an animal?
Adopting means giving an animal a new chance... but it also means making a lifelong commitment. At Nos Amis Pour La Vie, every adoption is carefully considered to ensure the animal's well-being and a lasting relationship with its future family.
We know each of our dogs inside out: their character, their needs, and their history.
That's why we ask adopters to be transparent about their lifestyle, environment, and availability, so we can find the companion that best suits them.
Our dogs live freely at the sanctuary and are cared for throughout the day. We are therefore looking for families who are present and available, ready to devote time, attention, and love to their pet.
Living in an apartment is possible, provided that the dog is not left alone for long periods of time and gets regular walks and activities.
- Fill out our adoption form (by email)
- Talk to our team (call or videoconference)
- Study your profile to find the dog that suits you best

Adoption requirements
Adopting an animal is a lifelong commitment. At Nos Amis Pour La Vie, our priority is to ensure the well-being of each dog and the success of its adoption.
- Adopters fill out a form to help us better understand their lifestyle.
- Our team reviews each request to ensure compatibility with the dog.
- We communicate with adopters and, if necessary, organize video calls and share photos or videos of the future living environment.
- Once the profile has been approved, we support the family until the dog arrives.
Every dog has its own story and sensitivities. That's why we make sure that your choice is consistent with your lifestyle and living environment.
Documents and administrative formalities
For adoptions abroad, our dogs travel in compliance with international health regulations.
Each animal leaves with:
- Microchip identification
- Up-to-date mandatory vaccinations, including rabies vaccination
- Rabies titration (serology)
- Veterinary health record
- Veterinary certificate attesting to the animal's good health prior to departure
In addition, an official health certificate is issued by the ONSSA. This document, issued within 48 hours prior to departure, is mandatory for the animal to enter European territory.
Our team assists adopters with all administrative and health-related procedures to ensure that the dog's journey and arrival go smoothly.
Veterinary monitoring: are the animals up for adoption in good health?
Yes. All our dogs are regularly monitored by veterinarians and receive the necessary care throughout their stay at the sanctuary.
