Roxy – 6-year-old male, medium-sized

Roxy is a survivor of the streets of Marrakech, a dog who has experienced fear, violence, and loneliness. Regularly attacked by other dogs and mistreated by humans, he lived for a long time in a state of constant vigilance, developing self-defense mechanisms to survive. When we took him in, he still bore the invisible scars of that difficult past. But behind that tough exterior lay a huge heart, ready to trust again.

Contrary to what his past might suggest, Roxy is deeply attached to people. He enjoys being close to others, seeks out contact, and is very affectionate with the people he loves. He forms strong, sincere bonds and simply enjoys being near those who offer him security and kindness.

Roxy gets along very well with female dogs, cats, and farm animals. He currently lives peacefully with donkeys. However, due to his past, he can be dominant toward male dogs. A home without any other male dogs will therefore be essential for his well-being.

Roxy is small and can easily be carried in your arms. Her appearance bears the marks of her past—she has the look of a little fighter—but today she is a calm, composed, and serene dog. She is a good watchdog, alert without being overbearing, and above all, a deeply endearing companion.

Roxy has a unique personality—both endearing and full of character. Funny, affectionate, and loyal, he’ll bring a lot of warmth and love to the family that opens its heart to him.
